Anniversary 2013

Dave and I didn't get to celebrate our anniversary till may this year. I know it's a few months late but sometimes that happens. Our kids got sick on the actual day and then with Dave's schedule we just didn't have anytime until May. But Dave surprised me by taking me for an overnight stay in park city. This was our 5 year anniversary so we wanted to do something special. Dave was amazing. We had a really nice hotel room with a private hot tub on the balcony. And went down old main street for some shopping and dinner. It was really nice to get away. Even if it was for one night only.

Planting garden and watching cedar hills fireworks

My mom and dad came over on Saturday and helped us get our little garden in the front yard planted. Being first time planters we didn't really know what we were doing. But Reagan sure did love it. She loves to help with anything we do. So when we gave her a little shovel she was more than excited to help us dig holes to put the flowers in. Then later that night we went for some dinner and stayed up to watch the Cedar Hills firework show. Matthew was only a few months old when he first saw fireworks last year. So when he saw them this year I know he liked them because he just stared with wide eyes.

Aquarium

This was Dave's and Matthew's first time at the aquarium. Reagan and I had been before but it was a lot more fun with everyone. Reagan loves the otters the best. Matthew had a lot of fun as well. We went on a rainy and pretty chilly day. So it was nice that we could still pack everyone up and head over to the aquarium.

Pool Time

I bought Reagan and Matthew a little pool to play in throughout the summer. They loved it. I'm glad that they have something to do it makes the days go by faster it seems. They both had a lot of fun together in the pool. I took a lot of pictures of Matthew I guess but he is just so darn cute. Reagan was running all over the yard so it was hard to get him and her together for very long. The swimsuit on Reagan she picked out herself for her swim lessons she will be starting soon. She is really excited about that and to be honest so am I :-)

Dave's Birthday and Mother's Day

So Mother's day and Dave's birthday fall within a day of each other. Dave's birthday is the 11th and mother's day is the 12th. So we try to make dave feel extra special on his day because the next day is all about ME! I had to sing in church on mother's day so my parents camae to my ward to hear me and melissa sing. I think my favorite was when Reagan went up to sing for the first time on mother's day with the primary. She was so cute and of course didn't really sing along with the rest of the primary. But she did wave and say hi to us all. What could be better than that? My parents took Reagan on Saturday night for a sleepover and it was so nice because we just had to worry about Matthew. But of course we still missed her. Then we all went to my parents house for a great BBQ dinner. I thought it was so funny. At the end of the day I looked over at dave and he was rubbing his head saying that it was a long stressful day and he had a huge headache. I just laughed and thought see why I'm tired and have headaches almost every day? But I am so greatful for him. He is the best. I didn't lift a finger on mother's day, He wouldn't let me. For dave's birthday we went to the farm at thanksgiving point. Dave was pretty sad that Reagan and I went without him the first time. So he wanted to go and see Reagan ride the little horses. They saw chickens and went on the hay ride just daddy and daughter. and matthew joined in on the fun too. Then we dropped Reagan and Matthew off and Dave and I went to dinner for his birthday. all in all it was a pretty fun weekend and a tiring one at that. I sure am grateful for my little family. So glad I get to be with them forever. Especially for a loving husband that does everything he can for me and tries to always make me happy. I love him so much. So glad that he is mine for time and all eternity.
