Easter

We had a great Easter this year.Conference fell on Easter this year so it was extra special.Matthew gets more and more excited about the holidays the older he gets. And Reagan is always fun on Holidays. This year was great though because she is starting to understand that Easter isn't just about the Easter bunny and eggs and candy. We asked her what she thought Easter was about and she said it was about Christ in and his sacrifice for us. He came back from the dead. I love her so much and she is so smart. Can't wait till Matthew gets in primary so he can tell me cool stuff like his big sis.

Decorating Easter Eggs

I love Easter and spring and the whole feel of new life emerging from the cold. I celebrating this season with my family and Reagan getting older is starting to understand a little bit better that Easter just isn't about the bunny and the candy and eggs. Matthew still has some time but he will get it. He was able to participate this time while decorating the eggs. He did pretty good too. I love doing these things with my kids it makes the holidays so much more fun to do when you have kids. I know that as my children get older that they will still love Easter and the traditions we've shared together. But they will also know the reason for the season. I'm especially glad for conference being on the same day as Easter this year. I'm so grateful for this gospel and for our Savior and the Atonement. I'm grateful for my family no matter how chaotic things may be at times I still love them with all my heart.

Easter/Spring photos

I love it when I get to take pictures of my kids. It's not easy but when I get really cute results I love it! This wasn't so bad they were both pretty good for these. Matthew is getting so big he looks like a little man. Reagan gets more and more beautiful as time goes on. Love them so much!

Matthew turns 3!

My little crazy monkey turned 3 on the 22 of march. I know it has taken a while for me to get these up. But better late then never right? I can't believe how big he has gotten. He has so much personality and energy he defiantly keeps us on our toes...did I mention that he has a LOT of energy? I'm so glad that you are in our lives Matthew. You are a great little brother and you are so sweet to your sister. I love that you two love to play with each other right now. I love that you love to cuddle with me all the time. I don't know if that is something that you will keep doing as the years go by but I sure do love your snuggles right now. We love you so much Matthew Happy Birthday Little one!

St. Patricks Day

I love being able to make the holidays special for my kids. I woke up pretty early to make them green chocolate chip pancakes with green milk and green cupcakes. They loved this so much and were looking for the leprechaun all day long.

Reagan's school program

I love going to Reagan's school programs. I love seeing how much she has learned and how excited she is about learning. I love her teacher Mrs. Jean. She is amazing! We are so blessed to have found a teacher like her and to have Reagan in our lives. She has made me a better mother by just being her. I love her so much. Thank you Reagan for just being your sweet little self. You always bring me and your daddy such joy.

Car Wreck

So it has been a couple weeks since the car wreck. I've been struggling with writing about it on the blog or not. It's just something that I don't want to remember. But I also know that if I write about it I can look back on this and think of the blessings that came from this. And maybe have more of a clear understanding as to why we had to go through this right now. So here is what happened. I was coming home from the gym with Matthew in the back seat behind me. I stopped at a red light and then started to go when the light turned green. I wasn't going very fast when another car came from the side going really fast, running the red light. I had no time to do anything but slam on the breaks. I t-boned her and my car was totaled. Matthew and I were both ok and so were the lady and the 3 month old she had in the car with her. The police said I was very lucky. Had I been going 1 mph faster the crash would have had a very different outcome. Matthew and I probably wouldn't have made it. At the time I wasn't thinking thank heaven we are ok. I feel horrible for thinking this since this should have been my first thought. But I was thinking about the money. First of all we had just had this car fixed like a week before this happened. I just put new tires on it and right after that the transmission blew. So we spent a lot of money getting that car fixed and then this happened. I was at a loss seeing as how this was our only transportation at the time because right before Christmas the camery's engine exploded and that car was no more. So that was my main thought at the time. I just didn't understand why we had to go through this right now. I felt like things were tough enough. But as the time goes by I am overwhelmed with the blessings that my family and I are still together. I could have left Dave alone to care for Reagan. And be without Matthew and I. This is the third time that Dave has almost lost one of us. Like I said I'm sure as time goes on I will see more of the Lord's plan for us. We are supposed to learn something from this and I know it will make me stronger. Hopefully I will see this in the future.
