Natural History Museum with Grandma and Grandpa Nichols

We had such a fun time while Dave's mom and dad were here. This was the first day of activities. It was raining pretty much all day so we decided to go to the natural history museum. The best part were the dinosaurs. Both Reagan and Matthew loved this exhibit. There were other exhibits but this was the one to see. I thought that the bones and fossils were quite cool. It gave me good idea of how big the dinosaurs actually were. I love that as the kids are getting older they are able to recognize their grandma and grandpa Nichols. They live in Washington so they don't get to see them very often. But they sent us a picture of the both of them and Reagan sleeps with it a lot. Reagan and Matthew would not leave their side, Reagan always wanted grandpa Nichols to sit by her.

Wheeler Farm

Dave and I had been to wheeler farm together but it has been a few years since we last went. This was our first time with the kids. Yep they loved it. Mostly because of the animals. I loved all the different rustic places and equipment to photograph. Plus the beautiful scenery. Other than the fact that we all had fun it was extremely hot that day. Not even being in the shade helped with the heat. We stayed for as long as we could then we just had to get out of the heat.

Back to school pictures

I can't believe that Reagan is starting kindergarten and Matthew is in pre-school. I love it! I'm not the kind of mom to cry when they leave for school. I was actually quite excited for them to go. Mostly because I want them both to make some great friends and to learn a lot. Matthew's school is geared specially for him. it is going to be giving him lots of personal time and they will help with his temperament issues. The teacher told me yesterday when I asked how he did, she said that transitions are hard for him but we will work on it. I hope he improves and learns how to control his temper. Now I know why all them parents get so excited for their kids to go back to school :-) I love my little monsters though.
