This year we decided to do start the elf on the shelf tradition. I love this so far. we are only on day two but I love this little tradition and Reagan loves it too! The story of the elf on the shelf is that Santa sends his elves to keep watch over all the little boys and girls. Each household has an elf that visits them. They have magic that lets them fly home every night to report to Santa on how all the little boys and girls are doing. You have to name the elf and once that is done his magic begins. But the children can't touch the elf or he will lose his magic and won't be able to get home to Santa. The first night we told Reagan and Matthew the story and Reagan named the elf Tony. Tony came back the next day and he stole a pair of Reagan's underware to use as a parachute and landed in the Christmas tree. The second morning he was taking a bubble bath. Reagan can't wait to see what he does next. Dave and I are having so much fun with this.
