Grandma and Grandpa Nichols and Unlce Danny come for a visit

Dave's parents along with his younger brother came to stay with us for a few days last week. We had a lot of fun with them. Reagan doesn't get to see them very often and this was Matthew's first time meeting them. They both had a great time with their grandparents and uncle. Reagan was especially sad to see them all go. But while they were here we took them to the Lion house pantry to eat lunch then over to the church museum. The church museum was cool I haven't been there in a few years and they had a children's section that was really fun for the kids to play in. We spent a good few hours there. The next day we went to discovery gateway. I had been there before with Reagan but it was when she wasn't old enough to appreciate what it was all about. This time she had a blast doing all the fun and entertaining things there. Matthew even got in on the fun. He was old enough to walk around and look at everything too. All in all it was a long and much needed visit with Dave's parents and brother. We were sad to see them go since it was such a short visit. Maybe sometime soon we can get out to Washington to visit them. Good to see you Grandma and Grandpa and Uncle Danny. Come again real soon!

The Fourth of July 2013

Ok so these pictures probably aren't in order. They are never in order. I will figure it out eventually. We had a really fun day on the fourth this year. Dave had work off so we packed up the kids for some small adventures during the day till the firework celebration that night. First we went to Gardener Village and let me just say that everywhere we went was completely empty. it was awesome. it was like we had our own private party everywhere we went. I love gardener village we packed up a lunch and ate it there and then walked around the cute shops and we even got Reagan a really cute vintage story book with all the old nursery stories. After that we went to an awesome park that is close by us. I know why parks are empty in this heat. it's because everything is so dang hot you can hardly play on anything. But we all had fun anyway. Later that evening we pulled out the stuff you can do before it gets dark. We had those things you throw on the ground that pop and then some poppers. you pull the string and it out pops confetti. The kids loved that. Then we put Matthew to bed because it was 9pm by then and waited a little longer for it to get dark then pulled out the sparklers for Reagan. She loved waving those colorful sticks around. She was really sad when they were done sparkling. Then we watched the fireworks that people set off around the neighborhood. it was a pretty good show. I love Holidays when we can all be together and just enjoy each others company. Love my family!
