Christmas 2010

Dave and I both had Christmas Eve and Christmas off this year. We loved being able to spend the whole weekend together with Reagan. Now that she is 14 and a half months old she is so much fun to watch get into the chrismas spirit. She actually said Ho Ho Ho when I asked her what does santa say? Of course that was after sitting with her for a half hour pointing to santa and saying ho ho ho.
We started the festivities off with christmas eve dinner. Dave wanted to make a roast because he never gets it otherwise because I don't like it. But we compromised and made the roast. It was actually very good....yes that's right I even had some. Dave did a very good job on it. The rolls however didn't survive. We have had a hard time getting our rolls to rise in the past. They look like they are going to make it in this picture but sadly they didn't.

Dave with his roast. Again it was very very good.

Since it is a tradition to open one gift on christmas eve we started with Reagan. She enjoyed the box a lot. She loves to climb on things and be high...which might be a problem when she gets older but for now it's cute. She's been sick so we got her a humidifier.

Christmas morning opening her presents with mommy.

These are gifts from her Nanna and Poppy. The bucket was from her Daddy to put all her toys in, since she is getting quite the collection of toys now.

As you can see she was very excited about the whole thing.

We celebrated some more with a big breakfast.

Reagan was still enjoying herself. She thought it was all very amusing.

Displaying our gifts.

Dave's brother Richie made us these awesome hats for christmas. We love them so much, they each fit us perfectly.

We had a wonderful Christmas together as a fairly new family. I know that as Reagan gets older she will enjoy the holidays more and more. Hopefuly as much as I do :-)
These are just the first of many many wonderful family memories and traditions to come.

Holiday Festivities

We had two Christmas parties to go to this day. These first pictures are of Reagan at my family Christmas party. She's obviously having a good time.

Here she is with her Pooppy. She really does love her Poppy a lot.

Taking pictures in front of the tree before heading off to my work party.

Blowing kisses for the camera.

She was feeding herself yogurt and she got tired of using the spoon so just decided to drink it. yeah it was pretty messy.

Reagan loves wearing her favorite blanket around her as a cape and walking around the house. She loves this blanket. She has a lot of warm cozy blankets but this is the one she always grabs when she leaves her bed. It's pretty cute I think.

Christmas Fun

So I have never made a gingerbread house before...I know you are thinking this is craziness but it is so true. So instead of doing it ourselves we invited some friends over to join in the fun.
Dave and I both made this house together. Dave had bought me the kit a couple years ago because I told him that I had never made a gingerbread house before. But I obviously never got around to it. So we were pretty skeptical about making it or if it would even turn out. We are pretty proud of the end result.

Selena's house. She did a great job on hers. She was trying to make it look like a cabin. Totally looks like one :-)

Dave and my house.

Russ's house. He even included a flight pad on his house. Great job Russ.

Russ and Selena. They are great.

These are just a couple pics of our festive decorations.

Thanksgiving 2010

I love Thanksgiving and all the food. This year Dave and I wanted to see if we could cook our very first Turkey. Lets just say it wasn't as moist as my mother's but it was still good and it sure did look pretty and we have lots of time to practice. I am grateful for my little family. For my wonderful husband that provides for us. I'm grateful that we were able to spend a lot of time together this thanksgiving. Can't wait till Christmas because guess what....I love that holiday too!
Our very first Thanksgiving Turkey.

Our feast. Doesn't it look good?

My hottie husband carving up our turkey.

This is Dave after we ate. He looks how I felt.

The next day was actually thanksgiving because we had done our thanksgiving the day before so we could still have thanksgiving with my family. This year my dad pulled out his good ol accordian. He hasn't played that in years and I always loved it when he would play it when I was little. Reagan enjoyed it too. she just recently learned how to blow into her grandpa's harmonica so she played right along with him.

Reagan says da da really fast when she is excited and Dave took this video while I was at work. I thought it was really cute.
