Decorating for Christmas

I have to say that I love it that my child gets more and more excited when she gets older for the holidays. She begins to understand more and more and now she starts to get excited like me and Dave and it's fun to watch her get so excited. When I was little I would get so excited for christmas that I would break out into hives. I just hope she doesn't pick that up as well. Reagan loved seeing the christmas lights up and lit and putting the decorations on the tree was especially fun.

Thanksgiving 2011

Our favorite part of the year has been lots of fun so far and here are the pics to prove it! We spent Thanksgiving at Grandma and Grandpa Nielsen's house and stuffed ourselves pretty dang good. Jen's mom has comfort food down to perfection. Thanksgiving was so good this year, we decided to have a second one the next day! Plus we had to try out our newly acquired skills we learned from watching the food network =). I got called into work Thanksgiving night until 7am the following morning so I ended up sleeping until about noon or so. Too my surprise, I woke up to an amazing aroma of garlic and yummy turkey goodness. Jen let me sleep a little, while preparing an amazing meal all by herself. She got all fancy with the turkey this year and placed a piece of cheese cloth soaked in butter and fresh herbs over it (thanks food network!), and it turned out to be a scrumptious mouthwatering bird! After our second turkey meal in two days, we were more stuffed than our Turkey was and fell asleep by 8pm. Even Reagan was stuffed as the picture shows. We can't wait for Christmas!
The very last picture is of Reagan wearing my gloves on her feet. for some reason she likes to wear her socks on her hands and gloves on her feet. It's weird.

Halloween 2011

Halloween was so much fun this year now that Reagan is starting to understand more. This was our first year of carving pumpkins together as a family. Last year Reagan mostly watched but she did a good job helping clean out the pumpkins and she colored hers really well.

Reagan kept saying pumpkin guts with a scared look on her face. This is the best picture I could get of her doing it.

Dave's pumpkin turned out the best. He saw the picture online and went from there. He worked long and hard on it. I think it looks awesome! Good job sweetie.

Then on monday we went trick or treating. Dave had to work on call till ten so I took Reagan to my parents house and we went around there neighborhood. It was so much fun and Reagan got the hang of going to the doors and saying trick or treat. And after she got the candy she said thank you to every house we went to. She was so cute. Can't wait for the other holidays now that Reagan can enjoy them more.

Reagan Turns 2!

I can't believe that our little baby is now a little girl. It's so weird to think how fast time has flown by, that we have a 2 year old and another little one on the way. Reagan was so excited for her birthday after I explained it to her all day the day before. She put on her birthday outfit and loved it so much. She ran around the house saying I'm a princess I'm a princess! twirling around the room in her little skirt. She's starting to smile more for the camera, which I love, it makes for a much cuter picture when she is actually smiling.

We went to the zoo because she loves loves loves monkeys. We thought it would be fun to take her and show her the monkeys and it was such a beautiful day. Now that Reagan is older this zoo trip was so much fun. She was in her stroller for a little bit but she was able to walk around with us and of course she had to push her stroller herself.

After the zoo we went back home and her grandparents and Aunt Melissa came over for dinner, presents, and cake and ice cream. Reagan got some nice gifts but I think her favorite was the vacuum. She couldn't leave it alone and didn't really pay much attention to any of the other gifts because she wanted to play with that.

Reagan eating her cupcake. She is such a dainty eater. she didn't really make a mess with it and it seemed like all she wanted to eat was the icing.
