Matthew Turns 1!

Matthew turned 1 on March 22nd. We celebrated it on Saturday so that family could be there and celebrate as well. I decided to try something diffrent this year and make Matthew's cake myself instead of buying it from the store. I have always wanted to learn how to decorate cakes and a woman in my ward has decorated cakes for years. She helped me out and I think it turned out pretty good. I had a lot of fun making it and can't wait till I get another chance to make another cake. My parents and sister came over for the celebration. I made dinner. We had sloppy joes and fries. Then afterwards we opened Matthew's gifts. As you scroll down through the pictures you will notice that Matthew would rather eat his gifts then open them. He loved everything he got...well days later he plays with the actual gifts. He was more in love with playing with the wrapping paper and boxes. The best part of the whole day is seeing him eat his first cake for the first time. He didn't know what to think of it at first but then I love it when he dug into it and started devouring it. Love my little man. Can't believe it has been a year already.
