Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was good this year. We spent thanksgiving day at Jenny and Chris's house. That was a lot of fun. Chris had to work so we went over to keep the kids and jenny company. Jenny did a great job on the turkey and she had a really cute idea for the kids to do while waiting for dinner. She had everyone make a turkey from cups and that became their snack turkey. We ate and had a good time. The next day we did our own thanksgiving. I like to do our own when we go to someone else's house for thanksgiving because I want the leftovers. Plus I love cooking thanksgiving dinner. It may be a lot of work but I love being able to do it for my family. Practice makes perfect. We cooked the turkey in a bag this year and it was literally the best turkey yet. It fell right off the bone. Then we put up our christmas stuff. It was a good day. Maybe cooking thanksgiving dinner and putting up christmas decorations while listening to christmas music will be our new tradition.

My Kiddos

I just have to say that even though they drive me crazy sometimes I am one lucky lady to be the mommy to these to little cuties. I feel very blessed to have my two children. Love you two lots and lots :-)

Halloween continued

I tried posting this picture in the last post but for some reason it would not come up on the blog. But here we are trick or treating. Dave Made his costume from scratch. He is very creative folks. He is dopey and I am snow white. Reagan is a witch and Matthew is a mummy. Maybe next year we will go with more of a theme. But we had lots of fun. A couple little girls thought I was the real snow white and one girl follwed me around for a couple blocks because she told her mother that she wanted to stay with snow white. Reagan had a blast trick or treating. She didn't want to go home.
I took Matthew home with Dave when it got dark. He was getting pretty tired. And Reagan and I continued on for a few more houses.

Pumpkin Carving and Trick or Treating

Dave went to his sister's new house to help Chris dig trenches for his sprinkler system. While they were doing that we had some really yummy soup that Jenny made and then after the good food we carved pumpkins. It was so much fun and Reagan had a really good time with her cousins.
This was before Dave got home from work. We were waiting for him to come home so we could go trick or treating.

Halloween Party at Aunt Pam's

The Halloween party at aunt pam's is always fun. Reagan enjoys this every year. And this was Matthew's first time attending. Reagan was a witch and Matthew was a mummy. Dave was Superman and I didn't really dress up. I was the party pooper this time.

Halloween Half Marathon 2012

Dave and I did the Halloween half marathon this year with my sister in law Jenny. It was a lot of fun to see all the different costumes that people wore. It was fun and it was freezing! I think I was good till about mile 10 when My knees started to hurt. We started the race in Sundance so we had to go down the canyon and that did a number on my knees. I'm pretty sure that if we didn't have to go down that hill I would Dave and I would have been ok. But Dave has bad knees to begin with and that huge hill at the beginning did not help him any. But after the hill we kept a steady pace till about mile 10. But we kept going and finally I got to the point where it felt like my knees were going to blow and I had to stop. Dave was the same way. We were pretty much out of commission the rest of the day. Dave somehow did better than me though. He took some ib profen after the race, as did I and he felt better but it did nothing for me. And the next day was even worse. I couldn't even get out of bed. But was it worth it? yes it was. will I do it again? probably. Dave says no but I think he had fun. and now he can say that he ran a half marathon. It is a pretty cool accomplishment. Dave and I did dress up as super man and super girl. Our costumes were not nearly as elaborate as some people's costumes though. Still it was a blast.

7 months already?!

I can't believe that Matthew is 7 months old already. We are so thankful to have him in our lives. He is such a happy little boy. Every day he is doing something different. I love that he smiles all the time. Reagan never did that it seemed like it took us forever to get her to smile just once. Not Matthew. Such a happy boy. We love you Matthew. Thank you for blessing our lives.
